The Ekiti governorship election is just around the corner, June 20 to be exact, and stakeholders are calling on the authorities to take serious action against vote buying and violence. Apparently, a lot of people are worried about the security situation, with about 70% of them prioritiesing it, and rightfully so. I mean, we all know how things can get messy during elections in Nigeria. The stakeholders want measures to be put in place to prevent all sorts of electoral malpractices, and I totally agree with them. It's time for us to have free and fair elections, where our votes actually count. Let's hope the authorities listen to their demands and we can have a peaceful election in Ekiti.
